Waiting for the Volkswagen diesel emissions recall fix

It’s not been a good few days since news broke about how VW circumvented an important U.S. EPA emissions laws with many of its diesel vehicles. To put it into perspective of how bad the situation is, around 20 percent of Volkswagen’s stock has been wiped out. We are sure it will climb back up again, but not in the short term because we have no idea what the German carmaker plans to do to rectify the situation.

Waiting for the Volkswagen diesel emissions recall fix

You might already know that almost 500,000 Volkswagen Jetta, Passat, Golf, Beetle and also the Audi A3 TDI models built from 2009 to 2015 are affected.

Martin Winterkorn, the VW Group CEO has issued an apology, but this is not going to win over those of you affected by this, and also rule makers in the US, as this could see billions of dollars worth of fines.

The big question now is, when will VW put this recall into action, as they have yet to tell us how they intend to fix this problem, and if they will also offer affected owners any sort of compensation? Do you have any other issues you wish to share, the do so my heading to our dedicated Volkswagen page.
