The power steering pump on my Subaru keeps jolting, which in turn keeps snapping the alternator belt. I replaced the pump, but after a few weeks the jolting came back. Has anyone else had such an issue?

  • Mac

if you have to press your brake pedal a little harder on your 2009 – 2013 Forester, 2008 – 2011 Impreza, or 2008 – 2014 WRX and WRX-STI models, then chances are you have a fluid leak. I you have yet to be concerted, we advise you give Subaru a call.

Why is it that my 2015 Forester suffers from condensation issues , there has even been ice in same cases inside the car when very cold outside?

  • Billy

My head gasket has gone on my Impreza and some guy said he could to my house and do the job within 8 hours, is this too good to be true?

  • Roger

I have a 1997 Subaru Legacy Outback wagon, which now has around 190,000 miles. Things have been going ok up until now, but now the vehicle is plagued with problems. Would I be better to cut my loses and buy a new car rather than repair this one?

  • lee

The oil warning light recently came in my 2014 Forester Premium 2.5, as it showed no oil on the dipstick. I then put a small amount of oil in and the level went right up. I have heard this could be an issue with the oil recommended is too thin, is this correct?

  • Gary

I have a 2007 Subaru Impreza and for some reason the manual transmission no longer performs how it once did. Before you ask, I have not over raced this car, even though the dealer feels I have. What could cause the transmission to go like this?

  • Jerry

Just had a bad experience, as my 2011 Subaru Forester suffered from unintened accelerated, as it surged 20 feet and brought into my garage door. However, all the time this was happening my foot was formally on the brake. What on earth could have caused such a thing?

  • Jed

My 2015 Subaru Legacy steering wheel shakes when being driven at 60 to 70 mph, surely as this is so new it cannot be a balancing issue?

  • Rudi

The AC on my 2012 Subaru Forester has stopped working, and have since learned it has lost all of its refrigerant. This is very strange for it to happen, but will this still be covered un the warranty?

  • Travis

Each time I select drive on my 2012 Subaru Outback automatic there is a very loud thud. However, this only happens when the engine is cold or left overnight.

  • Jed

When the temperture drops below 10F the brakes no longer work on my Subaru B9 Tribeca. Once I have been driving for 5-10 minutes they then start to work, which is very dangerous. Is this a common issue, and if so is it an easy fix?

  • Leroy

I keep having issues with the BlueConnect system on my 2012 Subaru Legacy. I can get it to connect when the car is not running, but once in motion I lose connection. The phone I use is on the compatible list, and so confused as to what is happening.

  • Ben

The passenger airbag light keeps going on and off on my 2011 Subaru Outback and keeps chiming even when there is no one sitting on the seat. Is anyone aware of this being a larger issue that just an isolated one?

  • Rudi

Something is draining the battery on my old Subaru Loyale. The starter motor has been changed, and the electrical system has also been completely checked. I have also replaced the battery, but the battery is still being drained.

  • Richard

I know this is not an issue that I can get repaired, but does anyone else think that the seats in the 2015 Subaru Legacy are uncomfortable? I have been in the car for several hours at a time and all occasions I came out with my back and bum hurting. I am now worried that such an uncomfortable driving position could lead to deep vein thrombosis.

  • Jane

The issues i have had with my 1992 Subaru Loyale has been very stressful, and as such is the worst car I think I have owned. I’ve had a series of issue over the past five years with this car, such as the CV joints, ignition system, brakes, EGR valve, plugs, many electrical wires and also the cooling system all having to either be repaired or replaced.

Ok, so I know the car is getting on a bit now, but still, I have known people to have much older cars and have far less issues.

  • Grace

I dread when the weather outside gets below 10 degrees F, as this is the time when the brakes no longer work on my 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca. However, once I have been driving for around five minutes the brakes start to come back. This makes me feel like a racing driver, where you have to warm the brakes before they have a decent chance of stopping you. What could make the brakes not work in the color conditions?

  • Dale

You often wonder why someone would sell such a 3-year old nice car, and now I think I know what someone decided to get rid of their 2012 Subaru Forrester, as she does like to burn through the oil. I have never had a vehicle where I had to top up as much between services, but this is the issue I am faced with. I would say O go through about 10 liters in a year, which does seem rather excessive to me. There are no oil leaks, which is where I know the engine is boring the stuff.

  • Ricky

When I first start the engine on my 2015 Subaru WRX it’s very noisy, but after a couple of minutes of driving the noise goes and the engine sounds normal. However, the nose from what I have now found out is the Throw Bearing seems louder after it had rained and when it is cold outside.

  • Danny

I have an automatic 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek and for some reason the transmission is having a bit of a moment, as shifting between gears has now become erratic and illogical. This system is nothing like I have expirenced in other vehicles, and just wondered if this is a common trait with the CVT system?

  • Jane

I can’t help but feel that Subaru has used inferior materials for the seats in my 2010 Legacy, as they are very easily stained, and very hard to get clean – even if it’s just water that has been spilled on the seats. I now have a umber of spots on my seats that I cannot get off, which was caused down to rain hitting the seats while trying to get onto the car during a heavy rainstorm. I know I am not the only person to have this issue, and with Subaru not taking responsibility, is there a way in which I can get these stains off?

  • Lionel

Should a car blow its head gasket after just 50,000 miles, as this is what has happened to my 2008 Subaru Legacy?

  • Ralph

2nd gear in my 2015 Subaru WRX was starting to cause issues, where I was unable to get it into that gear, but 4th is starting to play up as well. Before I go to Subaru, is this a common issue, or am I just unlucky?

  • Vinnie

My 2013 Subaru XV Crosstrek has only done just over 21,000 miles, and multiple pinhead chips have started to appear on the hood. If there is just a slight bump on the bodywork, then then starts to peel the paint. I have a feeling the paint job is sub-par, and so surely Subaru should do something about this?

  • Abby

How can the engine light keep lighting up on a 2013 Subaru XV Crossover, as the vehicle is just two years old. The car has now had two services, and the oil has been changed on both occasions. I know I am not the only one to have this issue, so surely Subaru needs to look into this issue?

  • Nigel

The automatic transmission on my Subaru XV Crosstrek has started to pay up, as it shifts into a higher gear than, and then will accelerate
very slowly as a result. However, if I use more gas then it does start to improve things.

The car does seem to have a mind of its own now, and know that there is something very wrong with the transmission. It’s even worse in closer conditions. Has anyone else had such an issue?

  • Mark

Each time I speed up there is a loud humming sound coming from the front end of my Subaru B9 Tribeca. It is pretty hard to explain any more really, and so just wondered if this is a common issue, and what it could be.

  • Karl

My 2014 Subaru Forester has been suffering from high oil consumption, which would result in the engine oil light coming on just 400-500 miles after the oil being topped up to the correct level. What makes me laugh, and also angry is how the dealer said this is normal – which is complete rubbish in my eyes.

  • Kyle

I’m now starting to worry that my 2017 Subaru Impreza is part of a new recall. It’s now a waiting game to know if I will get the dreaded letter, which will see the car taken in to have its engine control software updated because the chance its engine cooling fan comes on at a lower temperatures.

  • Susan

Just had my AC compressor go out on 2010 Subaru Impreza with 62,000 miles. Now I have doubts about Subaru reliability. Concerned about what to expect to go next and if it will be safe on highway. they advertise that they last forever, but now not sure……
