Nissan recalls 2007-2012 Versa in selected US States

We are only a few days into October and already the car recalls are coming in thick and fast. The latest carmaker to announce a recall is Nissan, as their 2007-2012 Versa has become a bit of a problem in certain states of North America.

The reason Nissan is recalling these Versa models is because there is a possibility of corrosion caused from the salt in certain weather conditions from the road. The affected component is the front suspension coil springs, as they could snap if they corrode.

319,507 vehicles are affected in all, 218,019 of which are in these US states: District of Columbia, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

101,488 are to also be recalled in Canada. During the recall campaign these affected vehicles will have their coil springs replaced, which will also have the correct amount of have anti-corrosion coating on this time.
