Latest Jeep Cherokee recall begins in September, 2015

It’s been a tough old time for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, or more so for its Jeep Cherokee model, and the hard times keep coming, as a new recall has been issued for this model. This time the 2014 Jeep Cherokee recall is to do with an issue with its windshield, or more so the wipers.

Latest Jeep Cherokee recall begins in September, 2015

The new 2014 Jeep Cherokee problem prompting these vehicles to be recalled is due to the fact that operating these wipers in dry conditions could cause static, which in turn could render them useless by messing with their control module.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will fix this by installing a small ground strap – simple, but effective. There are going to be more than 200,000 of these vehicles affected, 158,671 in the US, 18,366 vehicles in Canada, 3,582 in Mexico, and another 26,049 outside of North America.

Owners affected by this issue should hear from Jeep in September, with an aim to fix the issue in the same month as well. If you have any other Jeep issues you wish to share, then you can do so on our dedicated Jeep problems page.
