Hyundai Sonata recall to begin December 11

Oh dear, yet another airbag recall, and this time for the 2015-2016 Hyundai Sonata sedan. This is not going to be a huge recall, but 65,000 is still a high enough number if you own one of these models.

Hyundai Sonata recall to begin December 11

The reason for this model being recalled is because of the ABS warning light. It seems there is a malfunction that could stop the warning light from coming on if there were an issue with the airbag itself.

According to the NHTSA these vehicles were manufactured between May 28, 2014, and August 21, 2015. Because of this issue, Hyundai will fix the issue by recalling these Sonata sedans on December 11, where they will have the software in the control unit updated.
