My Honda Civic has premature tire wear, could this be related to the brake issue or something else?

  • Raj

More trouble for Honda as a driver in Malaysia has died as a direct result of an airbag rupturing during an accident. This took place in July, but details have only just come to light, making us wonder what took the media and Honda so long to report it?

  • Jenson

There were Honda recalls due to Takata airbags back in 2002, so it’s not a new issue after all.

  • Jack

We should learn the out of the U.S. congressional committee hearing today.

Honda has announced it is to expand its recall of Takata airbags following the recent hearings, which just winder if other carmakers will follow their lead?

  • Billy

3 million vehicles are affected by the latest Honda recall, although this should be seen as a positive because it shows Honda is making a stand to make certain you are safe.

  • Kevin

5.4 million vehicles just for Honda, how big is this going to get?

  • Jerry

The 2003 Honda Accord has been voted the second wort car based on problems and complaints, with most of them down to its transmission.

  • Jason

Honda has been fined $70 million for not
reporting some safety problems, when will these companies learn?

  • Pemrose

I’m worried, it’s been at least a month since we heard about a new round of Honda recalls, it would seem this is the calm before the storm.

  • Jerome

I cannot remember how many times I have contacted Honda about the GPS in my 2013 CRV, as it is unsafe and dangerous. Seems like they don’t want to admit any responsibility, even though it was a system sold by them.

  • Kevin

A friend of mine has a problem with her 2008 Fit Sport 120k, as it keeps stalling when cold, but only in drive or reverse. However, once the engine is warm the car works fine.

  • Kate

Has anybody else had a TPMS issue with their 2014 CRV AWD EX-L?

  • Jerry

My Honda has an issue with its door lock actuator, i’ve heard this is a common issue, so what do I do?

  • Kate

The transmission on my Odyssey is still playing up, even following that huge recall.

  • Simon

For some reason my 2008 Honda Accord suffers from premature brake wear, is this a common issue with this model?

  • Kevin

Would you chance putting in a used transmission into a 2003 Honda Civic, as it seems a lot of money to pay for a new one seeing as though the car is getting on a bot now?

  • Oliver

Transmission has finally gone bad on my 2002 Honda Odyssey, now I have the choice of getting the transmission rebuilt or go for a new unit.

  • Jennifer

For some reason the door ajar light on my 2015 Honda Fit keeps coming on randomly, as does that annoying beep. Does anyone know if this is a common issue or not?

  • Jackie

Is it right that I have gone through three sets of front brake pads on my 2009 Honda Civic in just 55,000 miles. I know the answer, but I would very much like to know why on earth it is happening.

  • Tina

There have been several occasions where the windows on my 2013 Honda Crosstour would open on their own. This has happened while i have been away from the vehicle, so very worried that someone could steal something from the car while I cannot see it.

  • Jay

Why is it that my 2012 Honda Odyssey shakes when braking? I have been told the rotors have warped, but this will mean they have been replaced 3 times in 30,000 miles, surely this is not right?

  • Shannon

I’m not sure if this is an issue with my car in particular, or a a common issue with the 2015 Honda Fit, but the seats are very uncomfortable after driving for a while.

  • Lee

Why does my 2011 Honda Odyssey suffer from premature brake wear? I only ever fit genuine Honda parts, so know that what I am buying is of the best quality, and I do not drive fast and brake hard.

I just cannot understand why the frame on my 1999 Honda Passport is rusting. I know the vehicle is 16 years old, but that is no age for a car these days. The worry is that there was one hole that started small and has become much larger, and so have now started to inquire as to whether this is a manufacturing issue.

  • Carly

The key has decided to get stuck in the ignition of my 2007 Honda Element. This meant I was unable to lock the car, even if I had the spare key on me, this is because as a safety feature the car knows that the key is still in the ignition and stops the doors from locking. I took it to Honda, who had said this has never happened before. However, just a few weeks later the dame thing happened again, but after taking it back to Honda, the key came out fine. This now seems to be an intermittent problem, one that is starting to get on my nerves.

  • Ken

Earlier this year my 2014 Honda Amaze started to leak oil from an oil seal. I cannot understand what would have caused such a leak; maybe a stone had hit the underneath or something. Not wanting to drive the car any more I then called the Honda 24 x 7 road side assistance, but after several hours was still unable to get through.

However, I was pretty close to a garage, so decided to drive my car slowly to that garage. After a close inspection they said that nothing had hit the underneath, and the leak was due to a service or manufacturing fault. The garage then repaired the leak and sent me on my way.

If this has happened to you then you really need to play hardball with Honda, as they refused to admit they were at fault, so hopefully you might have better luck.

  • Jude

I’m starting to get very annoyed at how slow the transmission is on my 2013 Honda Crosstour. The transmission is very slow when changing into reverse. I have to often rev the engine higher than usual in order for the transmission to engage into reverse. However, with raising the revs that high the vehicle then lurches a little, which I now worry is a safety issue. What do you think could be causing the problem?

  • Ethan

My 2002 Honda Passport engine will turn over, but will not start. The battery is fine, and I know the alternator had been changed prior to buying the vehicle, which was around five months ago. When I turn the key to the ignition setting all the electrics work, such as lights and air con, but no matter how often I try, the thing just will not start.

  • Ryan

I know this might sound strange to you, but my 2008 Honda Element only has around 16,000 miles on it, but that is not the strangest thing, the premature brake wear is. I noticed the brakes were making a noise and not working as they should, so took it to my local mechanic. He found that the rear brakes were completely worn. I am 55 years old, and so not a young driver that relies on their brakes at the last minute. Is this a common issue, and if not, what could be the cause?

  • Pedro

I’ve had my Honda Fit about 6 months from new and already the carpet in the driver’s side footwell is showing signs of wear. How can this happen when the car has only been used for 6 month? I have been bad to Honda, but they have said it must have been caused by myself not wearing the correct footwear – surely this should still be covered under warrenty?

  • Maggie

Does Honda know about an issue with the software that fouls up the spark plug in one of the cylinders, as there are a number of cases where people are complaining about the engine light coming on, yet Honda are prepared to re-install new software as a goodwill gesture?

  • Tim

The rear brakes on my 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour are wearing out around 3 times faster than those at the front, which i find strange considering there should be more braking bias towards the front. I have now changed the pads twice in 25,000 miles, and yet I think that the rears are going yet again. What could cause these rear brakes to wear so quickly?

  • Alfonso

There is a strange winning noise from the steering pump on my Honda Odyssey, although it stops when I overfill it with fluid. To me it does not need all that about of fluid, so what you;d be the cause?

  • Jean

Ok, so I know my Honda Passport is 17 years old, but the car has been well maintained, yet the engine now sound more like a diesel, and it uses around a quart every 1,000 miles.

  • Mike

The brake pedal on my 2008 Honda Odyssey seems too soft, and it also sounds as though metal is now scrapping when the pedal goes to the floor.

  • Jake

The AC has stopped working on my 2007 Honda CR-V, and I have read reports that this is a known issue, and very costly, and that Honda will not foot the bill. Surely this cannot be right?

  • Dale

I have only had my Honda City for about a year and half, and one of the door panels has started to rattle and vibrate, but only when driving on a rough road. I have been told on many occasions that the issue has been fixed, but here we are several months later, and the problem is still there. What should I do?

  • Kim

The wind noise in my Honda Accord when driving over 60 miles per hour is starting to annoy me now. I first assumed it could be a faulty windshield, and so had mine replaced, but the noise still happens.
I have contacted the dealer, who says they are unaware of this issue, yet a simple search on the Internet reveals this to be a common problem, so how come Honda has yet to come u with a solution for this?

  • Malcolm

The clock light has decided to stop working on my Honda Passport. I have been told my Honda that I need to replace the clock at a cost of $150, and slo the AC button for $200. Do I have to stick with the dealer, or could I source these cheaper?

  • Jason

I am confused because I am one of many Honda Fit owners that have an issue with their AC on long road trips, yet there has never been a recall. Surely the number of people that have this issue warrants a recall?

  • Denise

I am not only confused, but also very annoyed with my 2008 Honda Odyssey, as when the brakes come on the engine will not go over 30 miles per hour and the VAS light comes on.

  • Fernne

I heard that there was some sort of issue with some Honda vehicles with excessive oil consumption. I think that my vehicle could very well be affected by this, but just what is it that I can do?

  • Carrie

2009 Honda Civic – 3 door lock actuators replaced in May 2015. The fourth door lock actuator replaced in July 2015. April 2016, the first 3 door lock actuators failed and were replaced. This morning -June 21, 2016, the fourth quit working. This can’t be normal!!! Any suggestions?
