Dodge Dart transmission problems lead to 2013-2015 recall

Chrysler has had to issue a recall for its 2013-2015 Dodge Dart because of the number of problems are having with the transmission on that model. These affected models were built from February 24, 2012, to June 16, 2015.

Dodge Dart transmission problems lead to 2013-2015 recall

The reason for the recall is due to an issue where the transmission control module (TCM) can fail, which then results in the transmission shifting into neutral.

If this were to happen while driving it could be a danger to the driver, passengers and other road users because there will be a sudden loss of power, and so the car could come to a halt.

We are uncertain when the Dodge Dart recall will begin, but we do know that Chrysler will notify owners and local dealers about when they plan to replace the TCM. For more details visit www.safercar.gov. If you have any other Dodge issues you would like to share, then please do so here.
