BMW xDrive 20d recall fears, worse then VW Passat’s results

The VW diesel emissions scandal has set a ball in motion that shows no sign of coming to a stop, in fact we can see things are about to get a whole lot worse. This is because there are now claims from a German auto website that the BMW xDrive 20d could get a recall because its emission results were even worse than those of the Volkswagen Passat.

What’s even more worrying is this is not the second German carmaker to be implicated, but the third because Mercedes has also been implicated. However, Mercedes-Benz strongly deny any wrongdoing, and so we just have to wait for the dust to settle to see if they are telling the truth or not.

According to the website, the BMW X3 xDrive 20d registered figures far higher than the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) had set. Like we said above, the limits on nitrogen oxides emission were worse than the Passat, as they recorded a score 11 times higher than they should have been.

It’s worth noting that this was just one test, and so we now wait to see if the US counterpart for the government will start to test this model to see if they also come up with the same results.

Have you got an issue with your BMW, if so then please feel free to share those problems on this page.
