BMW 3-Series exterior lighting recall begins October 9

BMW North America had to issue a recall notice not so long ago for several versions of its 3-Series. The recall in question is due to an issue with the exterior lighting, which will be fixed once the recall begins from October 9, 2015.

There are several variants of the BMW 3-Series affected by this new recall, and those are the 320i, 320xi, 328i, 328xi, 335i, 335xi, and ActiveHybrid3 with the model years 2012 to 2015, and were manufactured from manufactured October 20, 2011, to June 22, 2015.

Several other variants are affected, full details of which can be found on the safecar.gov website.

It would seem that some of these vehicles could have had the wrong software installed, which could see the front side maker lights inoperative, along with the parking lights and also the headlights. If you would like more details, then head to the link above.
