Another Dodge Dart recall, notice begins in Feb. 2016

With Dodge set to begin its recall due too an issue with its transmission, the carmaker has now announced another problem that needs to be addressed with a recall.

Another Dodge Dart recall, notice begins in March 2016

There are to be 121,603 Dodge Dart cars recalled, with the model years 2013-2014. Only the 2.0- and 2.4-liter engines are affected due to an issue that could see them lose their power brake assistance.

According to the NHTSA, there is a chance that the brake-booster vacuum tube routing could allow oil to access the system, and in doing so would degrade the brake booster diaphragm, which is used to generate enough vacuum for the brakes to work correctly.

While the brakes would still work, the stopping distance would begin to increase, as the brakes start to lose their effeincy.

Affected owners are expected to be contacted in around 60 days, which would be February 2016. The dealer will inspect the break system and replace the vacuum pipe.
