2016 BMW M3, M4 recalls begin next month

BMW has announced a recall, but only for 42 units of their 2015-2016 M3 and M4 built between May 30, 2015, to September 2, 2015 and July 3, 2015, to September 11, 2015. This also includes the same model years M4 Convertible, but these were built between May 29, 2015, to August 4, 2015.

2016 BMW M3 recall

The reason for the recall is because the German carmaker may not have filled the driveshaft slip joint with grease, and so there is the possibility that the part could fail in time.

If this were to happen, then these BMW M3 and M4 sport vehicles could loose power at their rear axels.

The carmaker will send out notices and will inspect and then replace the driveshaft if necessary. BMW is to begin these recalls from January 8, 2015. Do you have an issue with your BMW, if so then you can share your problems HERE.
